Managing Director
John Rees is a highly experienced Engineer and inventor who has dedicated over six decades to his impressive career. With a strong inclination for creativity and problem-solving, he has designed and brought numerous successful products to the market.
One of John's notable accomplishments is the development of the world's first pneumatic multi-axis Tube Bending Machine. This groundbreaking technology revolutionized the process of bending materials by automating it to achieve the desired angle in a single attempt, eliminating the need for multiple tries using conventional machinery. Esteemed companies such as Ford Motor Company, Volvo, and Electrolux became his valued customers.
In 1992, John received a prestigious First Prize Innovation Award for his ingenious design of the Electronic Security Bollard. This innovative bollard, operated remotely, provided enhanced car security by eliminating the need for individuals to manually raise and lower the bollard themselves.
Throughout his career, John has shown a strong commitment to supporting the disability sector. His technological advancements have found applications in households, care homes, and hospitals, benefiting countless individuals. Now, he aspires to leverage the cutting-edge technology of Silis Group Ltd's products to further enhance people's safety and protection.

Andrew cawthorne
Sales Director
With a remarkable career spanning over 40 years in the export sector, Andrew has gained extensive experience selling products across five continents. His expertise in the dispenser sector stems from his impressive tenure of over 25 years in the cleaning and washroom hygiene industry. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of the international market, particularly in Europe and America.
In 2021, Andrew established a company in France, where he currently resides, with a focus on selling janitorial products both locally and within Europe. This venture showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to customers.
When approached by John Rees at the beginning of 2022, Andrew immediately recognized the immense potential of the Silis Group's product range. He viewed this as an exhilarating opportunity to make a significant contribution to saving lives and protecting vulnerable individuals. The prospect of working with Silis Group resonated deeply with his passion for making a positive impact and driving positive change.

Matthew Thomas
Media Director
Matt Thomas is an Entrepreneur and Media expert who lives between West Midlands and North Wales. He has an impressive background in utilising social media to gain exposure for both his own and external companies – his network following across various platforms has totalled up to 40 million followers!
Matt has worked with and promoted companies including Nike, Warner Brothers and Vodafone. His former company Komi has also created promotional videos with Dwayne Johnson, Rowan Atkinson and Tom Holland, just to name a few. While managing Komi’s news website, he got the website into the top 100 most viewed websites in the UK, and one of his newer companies, The Talking Dog has appeared on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and The One Show on BBC One.
He joined Silis Group after meeting John in 2021, who was helping him develop a product for one of his other companies. After learning of John’s prototypes and seeing first-hand his innovative devices that protect people, he knew he wanted to be part of this exciting business project.
